AfriAsianEurAmericana is a musical showcase of members of the extended Funketabla family. A mighty tasty melange of totally acoustic music, totally electronic music and the mad world of electro-acousticism.AfriAsianEurAmericana Muzik is happening Sunday, October 19th, 7pm - 10pmPerformers include Yaw Amponsah, Crispy, Sebastian Lange & James Whetzel. About the performers:

Yaw Amponsah is a brilliant African traditional drummer, who will do a short set traditional West African drumming to the accompaniment of palmwine guitar. http://www.funketabla.com/yaw.php

Crispy is a downtempo impressario extraordinaire, and he’ll be spinning excellent downtempo beats. http://www.myspace.com/bechillnow

Sebastian Lange’s super fantastic electric violin and beats are heard in the group EQlateral, and in the group Das Dhoom. For this show he’ll play solo and with James Whetzel.  http://eqlateral.com/

James Whetzel will be playing a set of sarod and beats mixing live sarod with live beats based on South Asian classical and folk beats and West and Central African rhythms.
